$100 by Friday, March 13th

NOTICE: Your $100 deposit MUST be paid by Friday, March 13th if you want to display your work in this year's Grad Show. No one is going to chase you down, it's your responsibility. If you don't pay, you won't be able to show your work in the show. Late deposits won't be accepted.

ENTIRE DESIGN COMMITTEE MEETING FEB.10

Head Meeting open to all Design Committee Members on Tuesday, February 10 @ 11:30 in Room 627.

Things that need to get hashed out:
  • the overall umbrella concept,
  • the look/feel of this concept and
  • how that will be articulated through the various sub-committees.

not at all! I was just posting it in case anyone was considering it either for the design team or for their own displays. Nothing can ever be 100% accessible (in regards to physical disabilities) but it never hurts to consider it right?

Accessability

Hi Sean,

For some reason it won't let me comment on your post...

So, are you suggesting that we have all of our descriptions imprinted in brail as well?

Any idea on where we can have that done or the cost on that?
You guys can just email me the contacts/sponsors/professionals information.
Remember, the email should include name of contact/company/organization plus a personal contact in that company/organization.

GUEST LIST

Everyone,
I really really REALLY need to know who it is that you want to invite, in order to make a master list.
I also need to make a sponsor list, so everyone tell me the sponsors that you might be needing.
I will need the name of the company/organization as well as a personal contact from that company.

Please feel free to contact people( as in sponsors and industry professionals) yourselves, but let me know who they are. Just so that I can put it on the master list.

We will be printing out invitations for the professionals, so let me know if you want invitations, how many you want, and how specific you want them to be.

I would like to know all of this by the end of reading week, so when school begins I can start printing and mailing. So don't forget, and try sending it to me sooner rather than later. Remember, these could be your future employees, so get on it!

1. Pay UP

Please remember to give your committee team lead $100 by Thursday, Feb 5th. If you have dire circumstances (aka $2 in your account), please speak to Heidi for financial planning.

2. Fundraising Sign-Ups
Sign up for the Feb 23-25 Fundraisers.
Monday, Feb 23 - Arcade Day1
Tuesday, Feb 24 - Arcade Day2
Wednesday, Feb 25 - Bake Sale
Every event (Arcade/Bake Sale) you participate in deducts $20 from your contribution and you'll be refunded the difference at the end of the semester.

3. Head Meeting
The February Head Meetings are as scheduled:
Thursday, Feb 5 - Room 284 (across hall from Auditorium's balcony seating)

4. Our First Sponsor...
We've been very lucky and the SU has granted us $1800 towards the production of our ID09 Grad Book. Yay!

5. Impressive
So, we're doing awesome and are WAY ahead of the other departments. The first Faculty of Design Committee Meeting was yesterday and I think we can really work with the committee to make our show work, set some precedents and set a pace that will allow things to work in our favor if we're prepared. So keep at it! Great work everyone!

Hey Everyone,

If you missed the name vote today and haven't heard yet, what was voted on and chosen as the name was:

Now that we have a name it really feels like we're off and running, so good luck to everyone and lets really turn this out and make it a great show.
